Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg
Senator Jens Kerstan has been the Minister of Environment and Energy of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg since 2015 until today. The two resources climate and agriculture were added in 2020. From 2008 to 2015 Mr. Kerstan was chairman of the Green parliamentary group in the Hamburg State Parliament. He was the group spokesman for environment, energy, and climate issues, as well as for budget and economy issues. Before entering the Hamburg Parliament in 2002, the economics graduate was marketing project manager at a global provider of technology and consulting services. From 1995 to 2011, he was also chairman of a nature conservation organization in Hamburg.

Already since 1999 Claudia Kleinert presented “Das Wetter” in the first and a few third programs, and since 2002 the weather announcements before the daily news and after the daily topics. Since 2023, Claudia Kleinert has been a Holder of the Order of Merit North Rhine-Westphalia.

Vice Chairman, World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO)
has been actively involved in the expansion of renewable energies in Europe for more than 30 years, and has worked exclusively in the globally growing offshore wind market for 22 years. His professional path in the offshore wind industry led him via leading positions at Repower Systems AG and RWE Innogy to his current work as a consultant and entrepreneur. Currently, the mechanical engineer, who holds a doctorate, is also an honorary board member of the Offshore Wind Energy Foundation as well as Vice Chairman of the World Forum Offshore Wind and a lecturer at the TUHH.

Dr. Axel B. Röpke is an expert in renewable energy law and corporate law and a partner at Tyskret Sagawe & Klages law firm in Hamburg, a cross-border business boutique. His clients include in particular domestic and foreign investment funds, private investors and banks, which he advises on cross-border transactions and other renewable energy projects. Axel Röpke has been a regional board member of the German Wind Energy Association Hamburg (BWE) since 2009 and was also vice president of the German Wind Energy Association in Berlin from 2015 to 2017 and advises on honorary capacity the Danish Seamen’s Church “Benediktekirken” in Hamburg on all legal issues.

Tobias Heyen studied Business Administration at the University of Hamburg. He started his career in 2005 as Risk Manager at Vattenfall in Stockholm before joining EWE in 2007, where he held various positions, among others as Head of Short Term Trading and Head of Direct Marketing. In 2021, he joined the ENGIE Group (former GDF SUEZ), initially as Managing Director 2nd Life Wind. Since 2022, he is Head of Renewables Origination Business Plattform Germany, connecting RES producers with the industry.

Christian has accumulated 25 years working experience in Semiconductors (Siemens, IBM, G&D, Infineon Technologies), Renewable Energies & Hydrogen (Solyndra, Nanosolar, Smartenergy) and Electric Mobility (Torqeedo) in various management positions. With his multi-national background he speaks fluently German, English, French, Italian and some Spanish.

Anne-Susann Luecht heads the Offshore Competitive Intelligence & Cost of Energy Team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. Her career in the wind industry began 16 years ago at the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex in Rostock, where she worked in the areas of structural component calculation, technical project management and finally product management. In 2015, she moved to Siemens Wind Power in Denmark to drive forward the development of offshore wind turbines in product management. For four years now, Anne-Susann has been leading a team that drives competitive analysis in SGRE’s offshore business. She studied technomathematics at the University of Rostock and North-West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa, and lives in Hamburg.m to the right questions and answers on the energy transition

Bénédicte Bergeaud
European Public Affairs Director, Skyborn Renewables
Bénédicte Bergeaud is Director for Public Affairs Europe for the offshore wind developer Skyborn Renewables. She started her career as a consultant in public affairs in France, advising on French and EU affairs, before becoming a political and parliamentary advisor at the French Senate. Moving on, she was appointed advisor to the French Minister for agriculture (2019-2020). After these two experiences in French Institutions, she specialised in renewable energy, becoming Public Affairs manager Europe for Northland Power in Germany (Berlin / Hamburg) before joining Skyborn Renewables on May 1, 2024.
Bénédicte studied political science and european affairs. She graduated from Sciences Po Lille, WWU Münster and the College of Europe and speaks fluent French, German and English.

For our hotel guests at MOTEL ONE Fleetinsel
You will receive your personal badge and admission wristband directly at the hotel from 09:30 on 13 June 2024. A shuttle bus will be waiting for you in front of the hotel. If you wish to use our interpreting service, you will receive a receipt for this when the admission wristband is issued. You are welcome to use the time on the bus to fill it out. On presentation of the receipt at the entrance to the Beach Club, you will be given the appropriate terminal device.

The Beach Club Sonnendeck St. Pauli is the perfect venue for THE BLUE BEACH. Located directly on Hamburg’s Landungsbrücken, with a view of the Elbe, the Elbphilharmonie concert hall and the wind turbines of the city of Hamburg, the perfect networking atmosphere is created as soon as you enter. Hamburg’s first outdoor address has a capacity of up to 800 guests on 980 m2. Sustainability was taken into account when furnishing the venue – “second use” takes centre stage here, without compromising on an elegant and stylish ambience. Solar panels on the roof of the newly designed beach club convert the Hamburg sun into energy. Large umbrellas preserve the unique view and special atmosphere in typical Hamburg weather.

Information for tickets and payment
Ticketing for 2024 is closed. No more tickets can be transferred to another name.
Included services
The purchase of a ticket for THE BLUE BEACH 2024 worth EUR 450.00 includes all food and drinks on offer as well as participation in the daytime programme from 14:00 to 19:00 and the evening event until midnight, which includes THE BLUE BEACH concert. The meals include lunch and dinner. During the day, fruit will also be served at the tables and waffles at a stand.
Personalized tickets
All tickets are personalised and non-transferable. You have the option of submitting the name of the person attending 10 days before the event by e-mail at participant@thebluebeach.de as well as having it changed to another person. If you book more than one ticket, you do not have to provide all the names and can submit them accordingly at the above e-mail address.
Payment modalities
Tickets can only be purchased on account. 10 days before the event, you will receive the personalized tickets at the e-mail address you provided. The ticket price is payable immediately without deduction after invoicing. All prices are subject to 19% VAT.
